It all began in an Environmental Engineering Lab at MIT, where a small team of innovators sought to master water science to make clean water accessible to communities in need across the globe. From Haiti to Bangladesh to the United States, their mission was simple but profound: improve lives through clean water.

Over time, the Equilibrium team realized that their expertise in water chemistry had another exciting application—craft beer. Using their scientific training, they began to master concentrations and balances, creating beers that push the boundaries of flavor, texture, and drinkability. It’s this commitment to precision and creativity that defines Equilibrium’s motto: Beer Balanced by Science.
