This month’s brewery of the month goes to Wayward Lane Brewing, located in Schoharie, NY. Rightfully so, as Wayward Lane has been awarded the title of New York State Brewery of the Year in both 2023 & 2025!
About Wayward Lane
Located on 65 acres of farmland and owned and operated by a group of beer-loving friends, Wayward Lane is an independent brewery and taproom with a mission of embodying the farm-to-bottle movement. They specialize in beekeeping and fruit production, and crafting high-quality beers using locally sourced ingredients, many of which are produced right on their farm.
Their taproom is located in a refurbished 1800s hop house and offers a variety of rotating draft beers. They also offer a large outdoor space where they hold weekend concerts, monthly summer farmers markets, and other unique events. You can see their full list of upcoming events here.

Schlager | Lager - Helles – A proper balance between crackery and bready malt with classic noble hops that finishes dry and refreshing.

Kugelblitz | Pilsner - Black – A floral and herbal hop bouquet blends seamlessly with crackery Pilsner malt and light roasted character.

Merlin in Berlin | Sour - Berliner Weisse – Deep jammy blackberry blends seamlessly with a tropical punch of vibrant dragonfruit.
- Grodziskie | Lager - Smoked – Brewed with Weyermann oak smoked wheat malt and Zuper Saazer hops, fermented with our house dry lager yeast, cold conditioned for 5 weeks.
