About Active Ingredient Brewing Company
Active Ingredient was founded by two pharmacists, Brian and Nate, who were always drawn to the chemistry of craft brewing. They got their start with home brew kits and pre-made malt syrups which eventually evolved into their brew-lab located in Malta, NY.

Freudian Sips | Kölsch – This appetizingly crisp ale is fermented with farm fresh honey from Betterbee in Greenwich NY. It’s also a 2022 NYS CBC Bronze & 2023 NYS CYC Silver Medialist in the Light and Golden Ale Category.

Mom Genes | Double NEIPA – Whirlpool and dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic, and Galaxy. Sensory yields notes of stone fruit and citrus with dank undertones.

Control Group | NEPIA – Extensively whirlpool and dry-hopped with Lupomax Citra and Cascade. Notes of grapefruit and citrus with a floral kiss.

Delta pH | Fruited Sour – The latest iteration of our gold metal winning sour series. Our goal is to balance the sourness from the beer and sweetness from the fruit to strike the prefect harmony
- Pillsnerd | Eurolager – Collaboration with Great Flats Brewing in Schenectady, this is an easy drinking and crisp lager. Light and refreshing our goal was to make European lager with American ingredients.
